TellApart
Listening training for English sounds your first language merges: L/R, B/V, TH and vowels.
About
TellApart trains your ear to hear English sounds your first language treats as one: L and R, B and V, TH, and vowels like hat and hut. One word plays, you tap which of two words it was, and many different voices make the skill carry over to real speech. The method is high variability phonetic training (HVPT), with 17 collections of minimal pairs (233 pairs) and levels from start of word to clusters, middle and end. Built first for Japanese speakers. The website has the full word lists; iOS and Android apps are coming soon.
